Switzerland: The World Health Organization (WHO by its Spanish initials) announced that 60 countries reported imported or community-transmitted cases of the new strain of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, identified in the United Kingdom and known as B 117, Radio Reloj reports.
According to the WHO, 10 more nations than a week ago reported cases with this variant of the virus and the ones with the highest number are the United States, Russia, Brazil, India and Spain.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the North American nation affirm that they have identified about 122 patients with the United Kingdom mutation in 20 states.
According to the US institution, these figures are not equivalent to the total number of cases that circulate in the country with B 117, but rather those found when analyzing positive samples of these new variants, not more serious or fatal, but they do seem to spread more easily.
