Mayabeque, Cuba: The Catalina Rodríguez de Morales Public Library, in Madruga, takes up an initiative that, in the moments of confinement due to Covid-19, last year, brought the book closer to readers.

Now the technicians of the institution promote in a special way the reading of texts by local writers to which interested parties can access upon request and which are delivered to their own homes.

Reading at home, an option for the enjoyment of the family with which this institution that supports culture joins the efforts to help people not leave home and use their free time in an instructive way in these moments of Coronavirus outbreak.

Among the literary proposals stand out: La Ronda de los Mininos by Iván Domínguez, Fifty sonnets of love and others, by Antonio León Castro and Pasajeros de la Luz, by Diosdado Padilla.

Other books from Madruga?s writers proposed are Pasos de Sol, by Yamilka González Meneses; Figures in my memory and Virginia and the Orishas, ??by Cesar Damián Castro Oliva.

The library also uses social networks to encourage the habit of reading and publicize part of its cultural heritage in difficult times of pandemic.
