Protestas en Brasil por retorno seguro a las aulas.

Brazil: Teachers from the municipal education network of the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo started a strike to demand safe conditions for returning to classrooms in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, Radio Reloj publishes.

The decision of inaction was unanimous in assemblies of the unions of pedagogues and other workers in the sector, also demanding that distance learning be maintained while there is no effective control of the pandemic.

Teachers also call for a greater commitment from governments to expand the production and application of anticovid vaccines, as well as the restructuring of schools for health security needs.

According to Claudio Fonseca, president of the Municipal Education Union, the pedagogues are not against the return to classes, but, at this moment, there is no security to guarantee the health of students, families and teachers, which is why the strike is necessary.
