Mayabeque, Cuba: Addressing the housing problem as one of the issues with the greatest economic and social impact accompanies the efforts of the government in Mayabeque since the creation of the province in 2011.

In this first decade, progress has been made in the task with thousands of new houses built, in the midst of the vicissitudes of the economy, since the housing policy is a priority.

This 2021 is not the exception, affirmed the director of the sector at the provincial level, José Díaz Castellanos: “The housing plan, both state and by own effort and subsidy have priority.”

Under strong constraints imposed by the opportunistic and aggressive blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba and the crisis aggravated by Covid-19, the State designates budgets to promote the state housing plan and the granting of subsidies.

“In the province around 400 beneficiaries of this program are at the moment in different phases of execution and must be informed about all the changes that include the Ordering Task that always respect the state principle of protecting the most vulnerable segments,” the provincial director of housing said.
