Mayabeque, Cuba: In the most recent part related to the behavior of the disease, Mayabeque registers 19 positive cases, distributed in 8 of its 11 municipalities.
According to the official website of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), all are autochthonous and contacts of positive cases.
Regarding the distribution by municipalities, Güines is the one with the highest incidence with 6 reported, followed by San José de las Lajas with 4 and Quivicán with 3.
The municipality of Nueva Paz reported yesterday 1 positive case, while Batabanó, Bejucal, San Nicolás and Santa Cruz del Norte diagnosed two cases with the disease.
In his usual press conference, the national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap), Doctor Francisco Durán García, reported that three patients from Mayabeque are reported in intensive care.
- A 74-year-old Cuban citizen, from the Bejucal municipality, with a Personal Pathological History of Arterial Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus and Ischemic Heart Disease. He is afebrile, sedated, with scant tracheobronchial secretions, on mechanical ventilation. He is hemodynamically stable, with preserved urine output. Chest X-rays show no changes. Inflammatory lesions in both lung fields. Reported as a stable critic.
- A 54-year-old Cuban citizen from the municipality of Güines, with a Personal Pathological History of Arterial Hypertension and Obesity. He is afebrile, with non-invasive ventilation, hemodynamically stable. Preserved diuresis. Chest X-rays reveal inflammatory lesions in both lung fields. Reported as a stable critic.
- A 79-year-old Cuban citizen, from Santa Cruz del Norte, with a Personal Pathological History of Arterial Hypertension and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. She is in intensive care, afebrile, on spontaneous ventilation with supplemental oxygen. Hemodynamically stable. Preserved diuresis. Chest X-rays reveal inflammatory lesions in both lung bases. Reported serious.
According to the MINSAP report, Mayabeque had a death from Covid-19 yesterday. He is an 81-year-old Cuban citizen, from the Nueva Paz municipality.
Among his personal pathological history, he had Arterial Hypertension, Ischemic Heart Disease, Type II Diabetes Mellitus and Heart Failure.
After a hospital stay of 19 days, he presented sudden dyspnea, followed by cardiac arrest, cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers were performed, which were not effective. We deeply regret what happened and convey our condolences to family and friends.
