Havana, Cuba: The Cuban provinces of Las Tunas and Villa Clara will participate today in the global caravan against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on the Caribbean country.

According to the call, from 10:00 local time and in strict compliance with health measures to prevent Covid-19, in those territories people will make tours on bicycles, skates and motorcycles through main streets.

The Cuban family is on the march “against the longest genocidal siege in history and that seeks to surrender an entire people out of hunger and necessity,” the first secretary of the Young Communists League, Diosvany Acosta, wrote on his Twitter account.

Also for this day the youth organization launched the call for a tweet ‘to together denounce the consequences of this hostile policy’, with the tags #Cuba, # NoMásBloqueo, # TúEresElPresente and #EliminaElBloqueo.

In the context of the global caravan ‘Puentes de amor’, emigrants and associations of Cubans residing in different regions, parliamentarians, academics, artists, as well as graduates in the Caribbean country, decided to attend public places in rejection of North American hostility.

Solidarity activities began last Friday in Turkey, with bike tours of solidarity groups in Istanbul and an event in Anit Park, in Ankara.

This Sunday in the United States, protesters will participate in more than 20 cities, such as Miami, New York, Washington, Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles, Sacramento, Oakland, San Diego, San Francisco, Tampa, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Seattle and Indianapolis.

Last March there were activities in a hundred cities in more than 60 countries against the US siege, which lasted six decades and considered a massive violation of human rights.
