Mayabeque, Cuba: In the most recent report related to the behavior of the disease, Mayabeque registers 14 positive cases, distributed in 6 of its 11 municipalities.
According to the official website of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), all are contacts of previously confirmed cases.
Regarding the distribution by municipalities, Bejucal reported 4 positive cases yesterday, Güines 3, Batabanó, Jaruco and San José de las Lajas 2, while Nueva Paz 1.
In his usual press conference, the national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap), Doctor Francisco Durán García, reported that there are four patients from Mayabeque in intensive care units.
- A 74-year-old Cuban citizen, from Bejucal, with a Personal Pathological History of Arterial Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus and Ischemic Heart Disease. He is afebrile, sedated, with scant tracheobronchial secretions, on mechanical ventilation. He is hemodynamically stable, with preserved urine output. Chest X-rays show no changes: Inflammatory lesions in both lung fields. He is reported as a stable critic.
- A 54-year-old Cuban citizen from Güines, with a Personal Pathological History of Arterial Hypertension and Obesity. He is afebrile, with non-invasive ventilation. He is hemodynamically stable. Preserved diuresis. Chest X-rays reveal inflammatory lesions in both lung fields. Reported as a stable critic.
- A 79-year-old Cuban citizen, from Santa Cruz del Norte, with a Personal Pathological History of Arterial Hypertension and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. She remains in intensive care, afebrile, on spontaneous ventilation with supplemental oxygen. She is Hemodynamically stable, with preserved diuresis. The Chest X-rays reveal inflammatory lesions in both lung bases. She is reported in serious condition.
- A 57-year-old Cuban citizen from Güines, with a Personal Pathological History of hiatal Hernia and Chronic Gastritis. She is in Intensive Care unit, afebrile, sedated, on mechanical ventilation, with slight respiratory distress and good oxygen saturation. She is hemodynamically stable, with preserved diuresis. Gasometry with mild hypoxemia. The Chest X-ray with inflammatory lesions in both lung fields and is reported of stable criticism.
- A Cuban citizen, 74 years old, from Santa Cruz del Norte, with a Personal Pathological History of Arterial Hypertension, Ischemic Heart Disease and Diabetes Mellitus. He is afebrile, with metabolic lack of control, in Diabetic Ketoacidosis that is still maintained with insulin in infusion, on spontaneous ventilation without supplemental oxygen. Hemodynamically stable. Preserved diuresis. Torax X ray. Inflammatory lesions in the left base. Reported in serious condition.
