Scientists obtain agricultural biofertilizers to replace imports.

Mayabeque, Cuba: Researchers at the Bioprocess Base Business Unit Cuba 10, located in Quivicán, work in the production of a range of products aimed at increasing agricultural yields and replacing the importation of chemical fertilizers.

The economic and commercial limitations caused by the propagation of COVID-19 in the world and the increase of the blockade imposed to Cuba by the United States are reverted from the work of these scientists in obtaining enzymes of great demand in agriculture and The country’s sugar industry.

The use of these enzymes allows complying with the quality parameters of the export sugar, as well as forming the portfolio of opportunities for the Cuban peasants for being economically feasible and adapting to climatic conditions.
