Havana, Cuba: The First Secretary of the Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, thanked intellectuals around the world who signed a message from the Network in defense of Humanity, demanding the end of the blockade against Cuba.

Thanks to the intellectuals from all over the world who give prestige to our long and inalienable fight against the blockade with their signatures, Díaz-Canel wrote on Twitter, where he also recalled that this movement knows very well the severity of the siege imposed by the empire.

The Network in Defense of Humanity appeals in its message to lovers of peace, justice and international law to denounce the unprecedented aggression of the United States government against Cuba.

The text recognizes that it is urgent today, in the face of the increasingly complicated scenario imposed by Covid-19 and the global crisis, to mobilize public opinion more strongly than ever in the face of this outrage.
