Havana: The national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba, Dr. Francisco Durán, reported this Wednesday 51 deaths and 6 thousand 80 samples positive for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for a cumulative of 256 thousand 607 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the nation.
During his usual press conference, the specialist reported that at midnight yesterday 64 thousand 561 patients were admitted, of them 17 thousand 625 suspects, 8 thousand 23 in epidemiological surveillance and 38 thousand 913 confirmed assets.
Durán explained that the country analyzed 43,721 samples the day before for a cumulative of 5 million 672 thousand 182 samples analyzed.
The epidemiologist announced that, of the 6 thousand 80 patients, 715 were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis, 5 thousand 934 have a source of infection in previously confirmed cases, 78 have a source of infection abroad and in 68 people the source of infection is unknown, 6 thousand 2 are autochthonous.

Of the total cases confirmed, 2,975 are male and 3,105 female. Regarding the age groups, a thousand 156 children under 19 years of age were diagnosed, and one thousand 85 in pediatric ages. In the ages of 20 to 39 years, 1,768 cases were confirmed, between 40 and 59 years 2 thousand 3 cases and 1,153 people older than 60 years.
He specified that, of the 256 thousand 607 patients diagnosed with the disease since the beginning of the same, 38 thousand 913 confirmed admitted of them 38 thousand 655 with stable clinical evolution. 1,659 deaths are reported (51 in the last day) for a fatality of 0.65. The two evacuees remain, 54 returnees and 215,979 recovered patients accumulate (3,956 discharges of the day). 127 patients in critical condition and 131 patients in serious condition are reported.
