Havana: The national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba, Dr. Francisco Durán, reported this Thursday 67 deaths and 6,479 positive samples for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for a cumulative 263 thousand 86 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the nation, Radio Habana Cuba reports.
During his usual press conference, the specialist reported that at midnight of yesterday 66 thousand 517 patients were admitted, of them 17 thousand 368 suspects, 7 thousand 590 in epidemiological surveillance and 41 thousand 559 confirmed assets.
Durán explained that the country analyzed 45 thousand 721 samples for an accumulated of 5 million 717 thousand 903 samples analyzed.
The epidemiologist announced that, of the 6,479 patients, 518 were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis, 6,331 have a source of infection in previously confirmed cases, 56 have a source of infection abroad and in 92 people the source of contagion is unknown and 6,423 are autochthonous.
Of the total confirmed, 3,116 are male and 3,363 are female. Regarding the age groups, 1,236 were diagnosed under 19 years of age, and 1,164 were diagnosed in pediatric ages (17 infants). In the ages of 20 to 39 years, 1,786 cases were confirmed, between 40 and 59 years 2,153 cases and 1,304 people over 60 years of age.

Pinar del Río: 157 cases, Artemisa: 134 cases, Havana: 655 cases, Mayabeque: 200 cases, Matanzas: 2,159 cases, Cienfuegos: 252 cases, Villa Clara: 390 cases, Sancti Spíritus: 174 cases, Ciego de Ávila: 729 cases, Camagüey: 380 cases, Las Tunas: 101 cases, Granma: 121 cases, Holguín: 268 cases, Santiago de Cuba: 467 cases, Guantánamo: 292 cases.
He specified that, of the 263 thousand 86 patients diagnosed with the disease since the beginning of it, 41 thousand 559 of them remain confirmed, 41 thousand 312 with stable clinical evolution. 1,726 deaths are reported (67 in the last day) for a fatality of 0.65. The two evacuees remain, 54 returnees and 219 thousand 745 recovered patients accumulate (3 thousand 766 discharges of the day). 129 critically ill patients and 118 critically ill patients are reported.
Until July 14, 190 countries and 30 territories with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases (+ 480 thousand 154) amount to 188 million 884 thousand 696 with 12 million 246 thousand 851 active cases and 4 million 69 thousand 310 deaths (+ 10 thousand 87) for a fatality of 2.15.
