School Year Begins in Mayabeque.

Mayabeque, Cuba: More than 2,500 Mayabeque students returned to classrooms today to resume face-to-face classes and restart the school year.

The continuity of the school period in the province is guaranteed based on the preparation of teachers and the conditions created in schools to prevent the spread of the Covid -19 pandemic.

The Provincial Director of Education, María Dailis Guerra More, welcomed the tenth grade students from the Juan Borrell Urban Pre-University Institute, located in Güines.

She also specified that for the students of the terminal pre-university grades, pedagogical training and third year of technical-professional education, they carried out a curricular adaptation to systematize the contents of the governing subjects and the preparation for the culmination exercises.

The student Yesica Núñez Palenzuela expressed the satisfaction of being reunited with her classmates and teachers. She also confirmed that her goal is to study to achieve a good score in the entrance exams to higher education and to enroll in the law career.

On his side, the young José Manuel Valdés Fernández, also a student at the IPU Juan Borrell, returned to the educational center with the commitment to prepare for the entrance exams with the support of the faculty of educators to achieve his dream to study Medicine.
