Iran reiterates return to nuclear negotiations in Vienna.

Tehran: Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hosein Amir Abdolahian, held a meeting with the president of the Swiss Parliament, Andreas Aebi, where he assured that his country will return to the nuclear talks in Vienna, Radio Habana Cuba publishes.

The foreign minister asserted that “in future conversations, our actions will be in line with the level of actions of other parties on the nuclear agreement.”

The senior Swiss official expressed his satisfaction with the visit to the Islamic republic and recognized the fundamental importance of the Iranian role within the region.

Aebi stressed that his country expresses its maximum interest in bringing the points of view between the parties to the Comprehensive Joint Action Plan (Jcpoa) ??closer together.

The next round of the Jcpoa is expected to be held in mid-November in Vienna, the capital city of Austria, waiting for the United States to join the agreement it abandoned in 2018.

After the arrival to power in Iran of Ebrahim Raisi, on June 18 the negotiations for the reestablishment of the agreement had been suspended. Tehran’s main demands continue to include the lifting of sanctions against it.
