China calls for an end to actions that may complicate the situation in the region.

Beijing: China rejected the recent United States sanctions against Cuban officials and considered them more evidence of its hegemonic attitude and a violation of the basic norms that govern international ties, Radio Habana Cuba publishes.

Wang Wenbin, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also repudiated interference in the internal affairs of other nations and the imposition of punitive measures under the pretext of freedom, democracy and rights.

“We firmly support the efforts of the Cuban government and its people to defend national sovereignty and social stability?, the official said.

He advocated prioritizing mutual respect, justice and shared profit in the ties between the different countries of the world, urged the United States to lift the economic, financial and commercial blockade against the island once and for all and normalize its ties with adherence to the purposes of the Charter of the United Nations Organization.

On other occasions, China denounced that this policy is considered the main cause of the deficiencies and the obstacle to development in Cuba, but Washington maintains it in force and intensifies it despite the majority vote and for 29 consecutive years of the international community in favor of its immediate cessation.

According to the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, the new penalties are aimed at those who, in his opinion, undermine the ability of the Cuban people to improve their political, economic and security conditions, not to mention the consequences of the blockade.
