Venezuela urges to strengthen friendship groups in Latin America.

Caracas: The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, highlighted the need to strengthen friendship groups in Latin American parliaments today to face the problems of the region, Prensa Latina publishes.

“We must strengthen, from the parliaments, the friendship groups of the peoples, so that they work in cooperation with the peoples of Latin America, to join forces to fight against the effects of climate change and the Covid-19 pandemic”,  the socialist leader stressed.

At the Round Table between the United Russia Political Party and several Latin American parties, where issues of cooperation in environmental security, food and health were discussed the day before, Cabello thanked Russia and China for the support of the supply of vaccines and medical supplies to face the pandemic.

He stressed that the people are still standing, despite the United States’ blockade against Venezuela, which closed any possibility for the Government to obtain medicine and food.

Likewise, he assured that the desire and will of Venezuela is to preserve the environment and recalled that this issue is endorsed in the Plan for the Homeland, as it is one of its strategic objectives.

Other Latin American countries such as Bolivia, Cuba, Nicaragua and Mexico, among others, participated in the Round Table.

Sponsored by Russia, a line of formation of an International Council was developed in which Latin American countries participate, with the aim of advancing towards the development of policies that benefit the peoples.
