Mayabeque, Cuba: the Casa de la Décima de Mayabeque will host the event Mis Raíces on March 15 and 16, a space that will pay tribute to the life and work of Celina González.
On the first day, an activity will take place at 1:00 in the afternoon in the Santa Bárbara Chapel and at 2:00 past noon they will show a documentary dedicated to Celina.
At 3:00 in the afternoon at the Casa de la Décima, the Celina in Memory colloquium is scheduled, followed by the tribute gala with the performance of children from the infants? repentismo workshops and prominent practitioners of the genre in the province.
The tribute continues on the 16th at 10:00 in the morning with the release of Celina González’s album and will the participation of Paulo Fernández Gallo, known as Paulo FG.
At 2:00 p.m. they will perform a tribute concert to the children of the group Son and Punto de la Casa de la Décima de Mayabeque and at 8:00 p.m. a closing concert with a performance by María Victoria Rodríguez and her group, as reported by the communicator of this cultural institution, Anamarys Gil Domínguez.
