Russia and Ukraine completed first round of talks.

Belarus: The Kremlin’s special adviser, Vladimir Medinsky, announced in the city of Gopel that the Russian and Ukrainian delegations concluded their first round of dialogue on Monday in that city in eastern Belarus, with the commitment to meet again in the next days, Prensa Latina reports.

“For five hours we went through the entire agenda in detail and found some points on which we can predict common positions,” he said.

“? The most important thing is that we agreed to continue the negotiation. The next meeting will take place on the border between Poland and Belarus, there is a corresponding agreement,” Medinsky told reporters at the end of the talks.

“Until then, each of the delegations will leave for their respective countries to consult the agreed positions,” he added.

In the dialogue, the Russian delegation was headed by Medinsky, it also included the deputy ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs, Andrei Rudenko and Alexander Fomin, respectively, as well as the head of the State Duma committee for international affairs, Leonid Slutski.

The Ukrainian side was represented by Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov; the adviser to the head of the presidential office, Mikhail Podoliak; and the head of the parliamentary faction of the ruling Servant of the People party, David Arajamia.

Also present were the first deputy head of the Kiev delegation in the Contact Group to resolve the situation in Donbass, Andréi Kostin; deputy Rustem Umerov; and the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikolai Tochitski. (YDG)
