Mayabeque, Cuba: The Mis Raíces cultural event dedicated to the 94th anniversary of the birth of Celina González, this March 16, concludes today with a record exhibition of the queen of country music, by the company Recordings and musical editions of Cuba (EGREM).
The artistic gala took place in the afternoon, with the participation of children and young people from the children’s improvisation workshops of the Casa de la Décima de Mayabeque, who with their talent paid tribute to the author of the symbolic songs Yo soy el punto cubano and Que viva Chango.
At the end of the day there was a concert by María Victoria Rodríguez and her group, along with guest artists, in the Central Park of Güines at eight o’clock at night.
The event had the support of the Municipal Directorate of Culture of Güines and the Provincial Directorate of Culture of Mayabeque, in addition to the Ministry of Culture and the Cuban Institute of Music, among others.
