Mayabeque, Cuba: In Madruga, manual and mechanized forces harvest grains, as part of the last agricultural stage of the cold season.
In an area of ??approximately 40 hectares, the workers of the Rubén Martínez Villena Agricultural Company of the municipality enter the furrows in the effort to collect some 15 tons of black beans, according to estimates.
Strengthening agricultural tasks aimed at substituting imports and local self-sufficiency are the main objectives of the manual and mechanized forces engaged in grain harvests, as a contribution to food sustainability. The head of production in the entity, Yulisley Casañas Acosta, praised the efforts of his labor group and stressed that the territory will culminate the cold season with plantations of more than 170 tons of beans and other grains.
