Bridges of Love with Cuba in Washington.

United States: With shouts of Viva Cuba and End the Blockade, Cuban-Americans from the Puentes de Amor (Bridges of Love) project crossed the Arlington Memorial Bridge at their entrance to the United States capital on Sunday, after almost a month and 2,000 kilometers of walking, Radio Reloj reports.

The group fulfilled its objective and arrived in Washington D.C. for a sit-in in front of the White House in Lafayette Park, where they expressed their demands to President Joe Biden, along with other supporters and solidarity with the Island who joined the demonstration.

We want to send remittances, to open consular services at the embassy in Havana, to return flights to all Cuban provinces, to restore the family reunification plan and for Americans to travel freely to Cuba, Professor Carlos Lazo insisted.

The Bridges of Love coordinator also thanked those American friends without whom the walk would have been impossible.
