Mayabeque, Cuba: Dreams and Traditions, is the name of the personal exhibition of the artisan Yulier Mallet Tamayo, located at the Nieves Xénes House of Culture, in the municipality of Quivicán.

According to the institution’s communicator, Alejandra Santiesteban, in the sample there are 20 pieces, four handmade and 16 carved in wood.

Creativity and talent accompany this exhibition, which reflects figures with an exceptional touch of ingenuity about traditions and Cuban identity, he added.

The artisan Mallet Tamayo has belong to the Movement of Amateur Artists of Quivicán for more than five years. Besides this exhibition, another part of his work is exhibited in Batabanó.
