Mayabeque, Cuba: The Mayabeque Agricultural Transport Base Business Unit (UEB) implements hygienic-sanitary measures to preserve the health of vehicle drivers in good condition.
During the first phase of the post-COVID stage, this group reinforces the tasks of disease prevention and control.
The head of human capital in the entity, Onay Carlos Rodríguez Hernández, specified that at the country level the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), the Higher Development Organization (OSDE), of GELMA, guided actions to counter the pandemic.
He added that they immediately placed jars with sodium hypochlorite in all the cars that transport the products nationwide so that drivers could properly wash their hands.
They also encouraged the use of the nasobuco (sanitary masks) in a general way in all workers and implemented fumigation to sanitize trucks at the entrance of the company.
Another of the norms that they have established are the cleaning and organization of the different areas. In this way, they preserve health and safety in the workplace, according to Rodríguez Hernández.
They also emphasized in the conscience of the workers so that they not only protected themselves, but also took care of their family and the rest of the close people such as the neighbors.
In times of recovery from the pandemic, they carry out daily medical screening of workers to detect the disease in time.
