Mayabeque, Cuba: Workers of the Industrial Technical Services Branch in Mayabeque assume the execution of important investments, with a view to starting the next sugar contest.
The most important tasks take place in the collection centers, where the cut cane is received for cleaning and delivery of the grass to the railway cars that transports it to the industry.
This task translates into an increase in the yields of the manual harvest, since foreign matter that affects the manufacturing process in the mill is eliminated.
According to the director of the Branch of Technical-Industrial Services in Mayabeque, Andrés Otaño Piñero, the construction of a Collection Center for the Base Business Unit (UEB) Boris Luis Santa Coloma, from Madruga, is being planned, as well as an investment in the sugar warehouse of said entity.
They also have resources so that once the execution is finished, the Collection Center contributes to increasing efficiency for sugar production in the UEB.
