Cuba confirms 73 new positive cases for Covid-19.

Havana: At midnight yesterday, September 15, 1,783 patients are admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of them: 62 under surveillance, 1,087 suspected and 634 confirmed, the official website of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health publishes.

For COVID-19 7,939 samples were studied, resulting in 73 positive samples. The country accumulates 508 thousand 224 samples carried out and 4 thousand 876 positive (0.96%).

Of the 73 cases diagnosed, 50 are Cubans and 23 are foreigners. 70 were contacts of confirmed cases and three without a specified source of infection. 50 are male and 23 are female. 71.2% (52) were asymptomatic, accumulating 2,884, representing 59.1% of those confirmed to date.

Of the 4,876 patients diagnosed with the disease, 634 (13%) remain confirmed, 617, 97.3% with stable clinical evolution. 109 deaths are reported (one of the day), two evacuated, 12 discharges of the day, 4,131 recovered patients accumulate (85%). Five patients in critical condition and 12 in serious condition are reported.

Until September 15, 185 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases amount to 29 million 309 thousand 546 (+ 260 thousand 412) and 928 thousand 890 deaths (+ 4 thousand 184) for a fatality of 3.16 % (-0.02).

The region of the Americas reports 15 million 018 thousand 149 confirmed cases (+ 82 thousand 804), 51.23% of the total cases reported in the world, with 515 thousand 584 deaths (+ 1 thousand 724) for a fatality of 3 , 43% (-0.01).
