Cuba: Cuban scientists continue with the development of our own diagnostic methods and vaccination candidates that allow the country to face the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes Covid-19, Radio Rebelde reports.
In this way, the Caribbean nation seeks to guarantee the necessary technological sovereignty and import independence, the Finlay Institute says in its account on the social network Twitter.
With this premise, specialists from the Finlay Institute, the Business Group of the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries of Cuba, as well as the ImmunoEnsay and Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology centers met.
During the meeting, data from the Elisa-type diagnostic system developed in the country, which is based on SUMA technology, to detect antibodies generated by the new coronavirus, were analyzed.
