Mayabeque, Cuba: The Provincial Prosecutor’s Office in Mayabeque adopts measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19, as there are still people who do not comply with the guidelines of the country’s top management.
Individuals can be fined and sanctioned by the court in case of incurring this offense.
The current Cuban Penal Code imposes penalties ranging from three months to one year of deprivation of liberty for the basic form of the crime of spreading the epidemic.
The Prosecutor-Provincial Chief of Mayabeque, Marta Martínez Vázquez, explains that the fines range between 100 and 300 quotas.
Currently the territory is in phase two, but it is necessary to implement measures of one, from the confirmation of positive cases to Covid-19 in the demarcation.
