Estela Hidalgo Guillén, Bachelor of Nursing and member of the Henry Reeve International Contingent.

Stories of love and altruism are woven among nations affected by Covid-19. Mexico and Bolivia are witnesses to the work of Cuban professionals and their fight to save human lives.

“We managed to unite the work and form a team where solidarity is the main premise”, said Estela Hidalgo Guillén, a graduate in Nursing, an expert in disaster management and containment of infectious diseases.

Estela puts her experience into practice to face Covid-19. Her aim is to preserve the health of patients and prevent the spread of disease.

This woman, tireless in her work, is a member of the Henry Reeve International Contingent of doctors specialized in disaster situations and major epidemics, created in 2005 by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro.

“I worked with the health protocols established in Mexico and I had the opportunity to assist people at the Tragua Hospital, in the intensive therapy service”, Hidalgo Guillén said.

Estela is a member of one of the 28 brigades of the Henry Reeve Contingent, which contributes to the fight against Covid-19 in 24 countries around the world.

She is one of the brave women who praise the work of Cuba and solidarity internationalism.
