Mayabeque, Cuba: Creators of different artistic manifestations in the municipality of San Nicolás celebrate the Day of the Cuban Culture today.
A special morning in front of the Pablo de la Torriente Brau House of Culture, the awarding of the photographic contest Impact of Covid-19 on society, the exhibition Hasta la vista Compay, by instructor Yenner Bernabeu, and a literary gathering by the local writer, Yazmín Sierra Montes will be the main activities that will close the Cuban festival in the locality.
Another action to greet the date is the extension of culture in all the communities of San Nicolás in order to raise the quality of life of the inhabitants.
In San Nicolás, as in the rest of the Cuba of Martí and Fidel, this day, the people ratify the unwavering decision not to fear a glorious death, because to die for the homeland is to live.
The Day of the Cuban Culture is instituted for being on that date of 1868 when the city of Bayamo was taken by Mambisas forces, under the command of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, and our glorious National Anthem was sung for the first time.
