Havana: Cuba confirmed 65 new cases of Covid-19 and no deaths at midnight yesterday, November 2, according to reports from the website of the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap).
The country accumulates 866,097 samples carried out and 6,887 positive samples (0.82%), since the pandemic began in Cuba on March 11.
Of the 65 positives, 47 are autochthonous and 18 imported. Forty-seven were contacts of confirmed cases and with contagion abroad 18.
Of the total positive cases, 21 are women and 44 men. Sixty of the positive cases were asymptomatic.
The autochthonous cases belong to Pinar del Río 15, La Habana 3, Sancti Spíritus 3, Ciego de Ávila 25 cases, Camagüey 1. The imported cases are from La Tunas 2, Granma 6, Manzanillo 4, Holguín, Santiago de Cuba 2, Guantánamo 4.
In the country, 550 patients remain admitted, of them, 525 with stable clinical evolution, four are in critical condition and one serious. There were 56 medical discharges, bringing the total to 6,374 recovered patients.
Until November 2, 185 countries with cases of COVID-19 are reported, the number of confirmed cases rises to 46 million 597 thousand 334 (+440 thousand 746) and 1 million 201 thousand 163 deaths (+4 thousand 891) for a fatality of 2 , 57 (-0.02).
In the region of the Americas, 20 million 807 thousand 450 confirmed cases (+122 thousand 872) are reported, 44.65% of the total cases reported in the world, with 644 thousand 221 deaths (+1 thousand 327) for a fatality of 3.10% (-0.01).
