Havana: Cuba confirmed 109 new cases of Covid-19 and no deaths at midnight yesterday, November 2, according to reports from the website of the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap).
The country accumulates 874 thousand 474 samples carried out and 7 thousand 144 positive samples (0.82%), since the beginning of the pandemic in Cuba on March 11.
Of the 109 positives, all are Cubans, 73 are autochthonous and 36 imported. Sixty-nine were contacts of confirmed cases and with contagion abroad 36 and 4 without specified source of infection.
Of the total positive cases, 51 are women and 58 are men. The 46,8 % of the positive cases (51) were asymptomatic.
The autochthonous cases belong to Pinar del Río 34, Sancti Spíritus 11, Ciego de Ávila 27, Santiago de Cuba 1. The imported cases are from Pinar del Río 1, Camagüey 2, La Tunas 3, Granma 7, Holguín 10, Santiago de Cuba 7, Guantánamo 6.
In the country, 619 patients remain admitted, of them, 613 with stable clinical evolution, four are in critical condition and two serious. There were 20 medical discharges, bringing the total to 6,394 recovered patients.
Until November 3, 185 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases amount to 47 million 093 thousand 287 (+495 thousand 953) and 1 million 207 thousand 290 deaths (+6 thousand 127) for a fatality of 2 , 56 (-0.01).
In the region of the Americas, 20 million 935 thousand 040 confirmed cases (+127 thousand 590) are reported, 44.45% of the total cases reported in the world, with 646 thousand 038 deaths (+1 thousand 817) for a fatality 3.09% (-0.01).
