Havana: Cuba confirmed 30 new cases of Covid-19 and no deaths at midnight yesterday, November 7, according to reports from the website of the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap).
The country accumulates 909 thousand 632 samples carried out and 7 thousand 297 positive samples (0.80%), since the beginning of the pandemic in Cuba on March 11.
Of the 30 positives, all are Cubans. Twenty eight were contacts of confirmed cases and two with contagion abroad. Fifteen are women and 15 are men. The 76,6 % of the positive cases (23) were asymptomatic.
The cases belong to Pinar del Río 12, Artemisa 1 (imported), La Habana 8, Sancti Spíritus 5, Ciego de Ávila 3, Santiago de Cuba 1 (imported)
In the country, 485 patients remain admitted, of them, 481 with stable clinical evolution, two are in critical condition and two are seriously ill. There were 98 medical discharges, bringing the total to 6,680 recovered patients.
Until November 7, 185 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases amount to 49 million 373 thousand 274 (+ 610 thousand 027) and one million 243 thousand 083 deaths (+ 8 thousand 711) for a fatality of 2 , 51% (-0.02).
In the region of the Americas, 21 million 577 thousand 940 confirmed cases (+ 174 thousand 535) are reported, 43.70% of the total cases reported in the world, with 656 thousand 949 deaths (+ 2 thousand 562) for a fatality of 3.04% (-0.02).
