Sending agricultural products to Havana.

Mayabeque, Cuba: Given the proximity and the trajectory predicted for the Tropical Storm Eta, Batabanó’s authorities decided to harvest and distribute agricultural products to the population and send them to markets in Havana, the Cuban capital.

The Head of the Economic Social Group of the Municipal Defense Council (CDM), Raudel García Mederos, assured that the decision does not only respond to whether there were winds but also heavy rains.

Some 30 tons of agricultural products were sent to the country’s capital between Friday and Saturday for distribution in the markets served by Batabanó in the Cuban capital.
