Mayabeque, Cuba: The support of the inhabitants of San José de las Lajas was noted in actions carried out in the capital of Mayabeque to prevent disasters after the passage of Tropical Storm Eta.
The Municipal Defense Council acknowledged their help and was ratified by its vice president, María de la Caridad Capdevila Fraga.
Despite the fact that Eta did not cause damages in San José de las Lajas, only a few rains and showers, the discipline of the population and their support for the tasks carried out was admirable.
The residents of the provincial capital were attentive to all the information provided by the Institute of Meteorology and complied with the measures directed by the Civil Defense and the Municipal Government.
