Mayabeque, Cuba: The implementation of the measures for the collection of freely convertible currency (MLC) is progressing in the municipality of Madruga.
In response to the country’s policy aimed at monetary unification, the Caribe store, in the locality, raised more than 90 thousand MLC pesos through the sale of household electrical equipment through magnetic cards.
A little over a month after this modality was implemented in Madruga, the percentage of deposits in MLC increased, which reinforces the country’s conditions for imports and foreign trade.
The collection of foreign currency in the territory has a positive impact on the financing of household appliances and equipment, as well as on other assortments that are marketed in Cuban pesos (CUP) and Cuban convertible pesos (CUC), including refrigeration, air conditioning, cooking and food products.
