Havana: The national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba, Dr. Francisco Durán, reported this Friday four deaths and 762 positive samples for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for a cumulative of 59,919 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the nation, Radio Habana Cuba reports.
During his usual televised briefing, the specialist reported that at midnight yesterday 24,493 patients were admitted, of them 4,444 suspects, 15,403 in epidemiological surveillance and 4,646 confirmed.
Durán explained that the country carried out 17,559 samples for a cumulative of 2 million 612 thousand 274 samples analyzed.
The epidemiologist announced that, of 762 patients, 364 were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis, 741 have a source of infection in previously confirmed cases, 3 have a source of infection abroad (4 foreigners) and in 18 people the source of the infection is unknown. 759 patients autochthonous were reported.
Of the total confirmed, 394 are male and 368 female. Regarding the age groups, 113 patients under 19 years of age were diagnosed and in pediatric ages, 660 remain active hospitalized. In the ages of 19 to 39 years, 257 cases were confirmed, between 40 and 59 years about 291 cases and 101 people older than 60 years.

Durán specified that, of the 59 thousand 919 patients diagnosed with the disease since the beginning of it, 4 thousand 646 remain admitted, of them 4 thousand 569 with stable clinical evolution. 365 deaths are reported (4 in the last day) for a fatality of 0.61. The two evacuees remain, 54 returnees and 54,852 recovered patients accumulate (768 discharges of the day). 34 patients in critical condition and 43 patients in serious condition are reported.
