Havana: The national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba, Dr. Francisco Durán, reported this Tuesday four deaths and 1030 positive samples for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for an accumulated of 81,640 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the nation, Radio Habana Cuba reports.
During his usual press conference, the specialist reported that at midnight yesterday, 25 thousand 468 patients were admitted, of them 3 thousand 640 suspects, 16 thousand 555 in epidemiological surveillance and 5 thousand 273 confirmed.
Durán explained that the country carried out 19 thousand 328 samples the day before for an accumulated of 3 million 108 thousand 917 samples analyzed.
The epidemiologist announced that, of the 1030 patients, 548 were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis, 991 have a source of infection in previously confirmed cases, 9 have a source of infection abroad and in 30 people the source of infection is unknown.
Of the total confirmed, 534 are male and 496 female. Regarding the age groups, 187 patients were diagnosed under 19 years of age and 177 pediatric ages (10 under one year). There are still active hospitalized 778. In the ages of 19 to 39 years 335 cases were confirmed, between 40 and 59 years about 363 cases and 145 people older than 60 years.

The two evacuees remain, 54 returnees and 75,871 recovered patients accumulate (744 discharges of the day). 30 patients in critical condition and 44 patients in serious condition are reported.
