Havana, Cuba: The national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba, Dr. Francisco Durán, reported this Wednesday nine deaths and one thousand 6 positive samples for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for a cumulative of 96 thousand 760 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the nation.
During his usual press conference, the specialist reported that at the end of yesterday 22 thousand 981 patients were admitted, of them 3 thousand 767 suspects, 14 thousand 091 in epidemiological surveillance and 5 thousand 123 confirmed.
Durán explained that the country carried out 21,380 samples the day before for a cumulative of 3 million 429 thousand 088 samples analyzed.
The epidemiologist announced that, of the 1,600 patients, 473 were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis, 957 have a source of infection in previously confirmed cases, 20 have a source of infection abroad and in 29 people the source of infection is unknown and 988 are autochthonous.
Of the total confirmed, 460 are male and 546 female. Regarding the age groups, 176 patients were diagnosed under 19 years of age and 150 in pediatric ages (6 under one year). 788 remain active hospitalized. In the ages of 19 to 39 years, 285 cases were confirmed, between 40 and 59 years about 344 cases and 201 people older than 60 years.

The two evacuees remain, 54 returnees and 91 thousand 34 recovered patients accumulate (977 discharges of the day). 29 patients in critical condition and 34 patients in serious condition are reported.
