Mayabeque, Cuba: In Madruga is a priority the cultivation of quality cane for future sugar seasons.
At this stage in which the spring season is carried out, 1,200 hectares of the grass were already planted with the support of 150 agricultural workers.
In addition, nine Agricultural Production Cooperatives (CPA) and two Credit and Services Cooperatives intervene in the cultivation of sugarcane to ensure the raw material of future sugar contests, which managed to compensate for the delays of drought times thanks to the humidity of the soils.
Other related tasks in the municipality have to do with the weeding of the fields and the preparations for mechanization, as well as the identification of the already germinated sugar cane areas.
