Mayabeque, Cuba: The peasants of the Credit and Services Cooperative (CCS), Pedro González, from Madruga, made a donation of food to several isolation centers in this province, dedicated to the care of suspected and confirmed cases of Covid -19.
The solidarity aid consisted of the delivery of sweet corn, pumpkin, banana, avocado, garlic, cachucha pepper, among other products that will contribute to improve the quality and variety of offers to patients and workers.
The tour of the cooperative members of Pedro González, from Madruga, included the local isolation center, located in the 28 de Octubre primary school and other facilities on the north coast such as Los Cocos, Peñas Blancas, Las Caletas, La Laguna, Los Júcaros and Villa Antillana campsite.
The donation also benefited the Santa Cruz del Norte hospital and the Jaruco Business and Gastronomy Base Business Unit (UEB), where food is produced for other isolation centers.
The President of the CCS, Fernando Marrero Estopiñan, ratified the willingness of the peasants to continue contributing to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic with the delivery of food in a gesture of solidarity, taking into account the difficult economic and health situation of the country.
