Mayabeque, Cuba: San José de las Lajas continues to report a high number of positive cases for Covid-19. Faced with this situation in the municipality, a new modality was adopted for the admission and isolation of patients.
To carry out this action, it is necessary to follow the protocol established by the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, which specifies the citizens who can stay in their homes and which ones cannot.
According to the deputy director of medical assistance of the Municipal Directorate of Public Health of the Mayan capital, Dr. William Marrero García, only asymptomatic individuals or with mild symptoms may stay at their homes, that is, headache, loss of taste, smell or other symptoms that do not pose a risk to your health.
In addition, patients with moderate symptoms, that is, intense cough, fever greater than 38 degrees Celsius, diarrhea, vomiting and general malaise should remain in an Isolation Center or hospital.
It is important to know that everyone under the age of 12 cannot be at home, nor those patients over 65 with risk comorbidities.
