4.82% (449) of the 9,320 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 115,244, which represents 19.4% of those confirmed to date.
The 9,320 diagnosed cases belong to the age groups: under 20 years old (1958), 20 to 39 years old (2585), 40 to 59 years old (2883) and over 60 years old (1894).

There are 4 618 deaths (74 in the day), a fatality of 0.78% vs 2.09% in the world and 2.53% in the Americas; two evacuees, 55 returned to their countries, on the day there were 7,832 discharges, 538,043 recovered patients accumulate (90.8%). 494 confirmed patients are cared for in intensive care, 119 of them critical and 375 severe.
On the day, 74 deceased patients were reported.
Until August 22, 190 countries and 32 territories with COVID-19 cases are reported, amounting to 212 million 583 thousand 357 confirmed cases (+437 thousand 566) with 17 million 942 thousand 187 active cases and 4 million 444 thousand 384 deaths (+ 7 thousand 769) for a lethality of 2.09% (=).
