Mayabeque, Cuba: The group Rumberos de Mayabeque prepares its first record production with the Company of Recordings and Musical Editions (EGREM by its Spanish initials), to promote the traditions and revitalize the rumba, intangible cultural heritage of humanity, recognized as a festive mix of music and dances.
“The album we have planned with EGREM is thanks to the Provincial Directorate of Culture. For us it is significant because it will be our first record production with a major firm in the country and it will help promote the group”
Among the guests present in the production of the album are Brenda Navarrete and Mayito Rivera, who will also perform new songs belonging to authors from the province and others from previous work, explained the director of the musical group, Raúl Cabrera
Diversity of genre and sonorities characterize the new CD with touches and songs typical of this orchestra that gives prestige to the folkloric and popular Cuban.
“They will find worked genres such as rumba, gambú, Columbia, guaguancó, which identify us. We will also include a tribute to Tata Güines and Polo Montañez”.
