Mayabeque, Cuba: Residents of the Popular Council Amistad-Río Seco in Güines receive the benefits of the Community Recovery Program to transform living conditions in this place, evaluated among the most vulnerable in the territory.
These days there is an awakening accompanied by responsibility, optimism and a lot of desire to change the panorama, beyond the sugar mill areas.
The renovation of commercial and gastronomy units, fixing potholes in the main street, the change of image of the pharmacy and some houses stand out among the tasks with the greatest impact.
The president of the municipal government, José Ariel Cantero Barreto, argued about the transformation taking place in the area and also highlighted the participation of the population in these tasks.
This initiative enables the solution to the proposals of the inhabitants of the area themselves with the participation of companies, organizations and neighbors, taking into account the availability of resources.
From now on they will carry out actions to favor the improvement of roads, electrical and communal services, supply of drinking water and others.
