Mayabeque, Cuba: Cuban vaccines today show high effectiveness in the residents of Güines by considerably reducing the number of people infected with Covid-19, after the immunization process that takes place in the territory.
Data on the effectiveness of vaccination schemes attest to the decrease in incidence curves and the number of daily deaths from disease compared to the percentages achieved in previous months.
The person in charge of immunization in Güines, Dianelis Cruz Carrasco, said that 41,290 people over 19 years of age were vaccinated with the first dose of Soberana 02 while more than 76,000 were immunized with the second and third doses.
She also highlighted immunization in the three pediatric age groups because of the importance of avoiding contagion with the pandemic and the country’s efforts to establish vaccines.
When referring to those allergic to thiomersal, she reported that they injected 812 patients with the first dose and 723 with the second.
At this time, they maintain the process to immunize people of all ages who have not yet completed the vaccination schedule.
