Mayabeque, Cuba: Educators in the municipality of Madruga are ready to receive more than three thousand students who will return to classrooms this month to conclude the activities corresponding to the 2020-2021 school year.

Students of terminal degrees of secondary, technical and professional and pedagogical education have already done so, complying in each center with the health measures of prevention against Covid-19.

In all the educational centers of Madruga there are complete cloisters, and teachers and professors have maintained their methodological preparation with the objective that the students overcome the knowledge provided at this stage.

The Municipal Director of Education in the territory, Benicia Fundora, reported that alliances are being strengthened with the Public Health Directorate to ensure the well-being of students and develop activities that contribute to raising the health culture of children and adolescents.

The authorities of the sector recognize the support of the families in the restart of the teaching-educational process in person, with the participation in voluntary work in the schools to guarantee the conditions required for the stay of the students in the classrooms.

With the start of the third vaccination dose for children between two and eighteen years of age, Madruga is close to completing the vaccination schedule for its population, another fact that especially affects the quality of the teaching-learning process.

There is optimism and confidence that the closure of the 2020-2021 school year will be another victory for Cuban education and will allow the streets to once again be filled with school uniforms, in one of the best images of justice in our socialist Revolution.
