Havana, Cuba: At midnight this Wednesday, Cuba reported 240 new cases of Covid-19 and no deaths, Radio Habana Cuba reports.
The Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) detailed that 4,204 patients are admitted, 2,895 suspects, 173 under surveillance and 1,136 confirmed active.
For Covid-19, 23 thousand 007 samples were made for surveillance during the day, for a cumulative of 11 million 002 thousand 508 samples taken and 961 thousand 698 positive.
Of the total of cases, 236 were contacts of confirmed cases; three with a source of infection abroad; one without a specified source of infection. Of the diagnosed cases, 131 were female and 109 male.
12.5% (30) of the 240 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 132 thousand 433 that represents 13.8% of those confirmed to date.
Of the 240 diagnosed cases, they belong to the age groups: under 20 years (45), 20 to 39 years (56), 40 to 59 years (81), 60 and over (58).
Of the 961 thousand 698 patients diagnosed with the disease, one thousand 136 remain hospitalized, of which one thousand 108 with stable clinical evolution. There are 8 299 deaths (0 on the day), a fatality rate of 0.86% vs 2.0% in the World and 2.43% in the Americas; two evacuees, 55 returned to their countries, on the day there were 262 discharges, 952 thousand 206 recovered patients accumulate (99.0%). 28 confirmed patients are cared for in intensive care, 15 of them critical and 13 seriously ill.
No deceased patients were reported on the day.
