Mayabeque, Cuba: Nursing graduate María del Carmen Trujillo Mourdoch is the face that women see when they attend the Gynecology consultation at the Emilia de Córdoba Teaching Polyclinic, in the municipality of San Nicolás, in Mayabeque.
She represents strength and confidence. More than four decades guarantee her work at the service of Public Health. I have been in this consultation for more than 35 years, the nurse said, many generations of women have passed through my hands, I even have grandchildren and great-grandchildren in this area.
Here I am the nurse who performs cytological tests, exudates; I pay attention to pregnant women, always trying to give my best at all times.
It is difficult, but I do not think it is impossible, the fundamental thing is to feel the pain of others, Trujillo Mourdoch very emotionally said.
This woman is one of the internationalist nurses who proudly honors her native territory, province and country, since she fulfilled her duty in the sister Republic of Venezuela for more than three years.
She has not thought about retirement and she assures that as long as life allows it, she will continue to be the women’s nurse. According to María del Carmen, the work has been very difficult because we all have problems, but we have to be sensitive to them, leaving our own behind, on that side I feel fulfilled, because of the trust they have in me, she expressed with tears in her eyes.
María del Carmen is recognized by all as a symbol of love, simplicity and professionalism with advice that is always useful and healthy for life.
