Buenos Aires: The Argentine government today deploys an important logistical phase to begin applying the Russian-origin vaccine Sputnik V as of next week, Prensa Latina publishes.

As announced from the Executive, this weekend President Alberto Fernández will hold virtual meetings with all the governors to agree on which day will be chosen to begin applying the first doses next week.

The Chief of Cabinet, Santiago Cafiero, highlighted in a press conference at the Ezeiza airport after the arrival of the Sputnik V vaccines the day before, the permanent articulated work that is carried out with the provincial leaders and the City of Buenos Aires.

In the middle of the Christmas holidays, the plane from Argentine Airlines landed yesterday in the capital, bringing home the first 300,000 doses of Sputnik V.

This southern nation today also maintains negotiations with four laboratories producing vaccines against Covid-19 such as Pfizer, which has already received approval from the National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology this week, Sinopharma, Sinovac and Janssen, in addition to the signed agreement with Oxford / AztraZeneca.
