Buenos Aires: Two new flights, one of them from Aerolineas Argentinas from Russia, will land today in this capital with more than half a million Sputnik V vaccines to continue with the immunization program, Prensa Latina publishes.
To the important batch of the two vaccine doses, another shipment will also be added from the Netherlands, with 964 thousand vaccines manufactured by Oxford / AstraZéneca from the Covax mechanism, the Global Access Fund program that seeks to guarantee the equitable acquisition of vaccines.
There will be a total of more than a million and a half doses in just one day, which will be added to the seven million 248 thousand 208 doses already distributed throughout the country.
With its foot on the accelerator, the Argentine government has acquired vaccines from various parties, including the Chinese Sinopharm.
So far, in addition to health personnel, the inoculation plan is advancing in people between 18 and 59 years old with risk factors and those over 60 years of age.
