Mayabeque, Cuba: Mayabeque reports today 81 positive cases of Covid-19, of them 4 without an identified source of infection, distributed in 9 of its 11 municipalities, according to the national report of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
The municipality of Güines today with 26 is the one that reports the highest number, followed by San José de las Lajas with 25, Batabanó with 12, while Madruga confirmed 6, Melena del Sur 5, Nueva Paz 3, Jaruco 2 and Quivicán and San Nicolás one each.
According to the report offered by Doctor Francisco Durán García, from Mayabeque 10 patients are treated in intensive therapies, 6 critically ill and 4 seriously ill.
The Cuban citizens reported as critical are 3 from the municipalities of Güines, 67, 80 and 57 years old, from San José de la Lajas a 58-year-old man and from Madruga a 55-year-old woman and a 76-year-old man.
While reported in serious conditions are a 32-year-old woman from the municipality of San Nicolás and 3 people from the provincial capital: 2 men, 56 and 38 years old, and a 34-year-old woman.
During yesterday’s day Mayabeque lamented the death of a 58-year-old Cuban citizen, from the municipality of Batabanó, with a hospital stay of 6 days and a Personal Pathological History of Arterial Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, Heart Failure, Bronchial Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
This patient was intubated, ventilated, and supported with amines. She did extreme bradycardia and cardiac arrest in asystole, cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers were performed, which were not effective.
